jello shots

the ingredients:

6 lemons

1 package of jello (flavor of your choice)

2 cups of boiling water

2 cups of vodka

the method:

make a small cut to the top and bottom of each lemon so that it will stand up on its own. don’t cut too much off! the rind should be intact so that the jello can’t leak through. halve all of the lemons, and scoop out the pulp using a grapefruit spoon. transfer all of the halves to a rimmed baking sheet (it should fit in your fridge).

dump the jello into a medium bowl. bring the two cups of water to a boil. once boiling, add the water to the bowl, and whisk until dissolved. add the vodka, and whisk again.

pour the jello into each lemon half, and place them in the fridge for at least four hours. remove from the fridge before you’re ready to serve these, and cut into wedges, trimming the tops if necessary for aesthetic purposes. transfer the wedges to a platter, and serve.

prosecco poppers

i saw this idea on pinterest, my new addiction, and fell in love with it immediately. a bridal shower seemed like the perfect place to serve these. i opted for strawberry, mango, and lime popsicles, and they were absolutely delicious! the popsicle flavored the prosecco as it melted, and you can fill the glass as many times as you like (no judgement) until the popsicle melts. bottoms up!

the ingredients:

a dozen popsicles (flavors of your choice)

2-3 bottles of prosecco (depending on how heavy your hand is)

the method:

unwrap each popsicle, and place it in a wine glass, stick up. top each glass with prosecco, and serve.

note: it’s best to serve these with fun straws!
